Art is going green for the Post-Capital: Art and the Economics of the Digital Age exhibition at Mudam.
Every Wednesday evening, The Green Exchange – Mudam Plant Swap invites you to take part in a very green and rather unusual experience – come to the museum and swap your plants. It may be autumn, but what better time to make the most of our plants? Just when everyone is putting their plants to bed for the winter, Mudam has decided to enjoy a second blossoming with a plant swap inspired by its exhibition. Like in the artwork FreePlots (2019) by artist Hito Steyerl, who worked in collaboration with a local community garden, this project reminds us that property doesn’t necessarily need to be private; it can be shared, function as collective ownership.
The idea could not be simpler – just come to the museum with a plant or some seeds and swap these with one of the many other plants on offer. When art enthusiasts and nature lovers come together, a sense of community is guaranteed!
