Martha von Maydell is a Berlin-born freelance illustrator and full-time creative.

As a child, Martha would sit for hours at her desk and draw, imagining life as a professional artist. Happily, her dream of turning passion into profession has come true. After studying graphic design at Lette Verein Berlin, Martha backpacked around the world for almost a year. Returning home in 2007 with plans to become a full-time illustrator, she began working with the medium of paper.
