A Model: Reimagining Museums is an imaginative rethinking of the museum experience, drawing on the legacy of Palle Nielsen’s The Model (1968) and the spirit of social arts experiments of the time. The programme aims to dismantle barriers, provoke critical dialogue, and create an inclusive space where hospitality becomes a method of coexistence, encouraging visitors to explore, question and transform their understanding of art and society. Through this innovative and playful approach, Mudam aims to rethink the definition and role of the museum in the 21st century and to foster a sense of belonging for all.
Mudam invites some of the most influential curators, artists and museum directors who are currently contributing to a radical change in our perspective on the role of institutions, arts, and their place in our contemporary societies.
Join us for two days of exchange and conviviality, with screenings, lectures, workshops and more, and take part in the discourses that are changing contemporary art museums.
