Christophe de la Fontaine was born in 1976 in Luxembourg. He graduated in industrial design in 2002 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart, taught by Richard Sapper. From 2002 to 2010, he was leading the Patricia Urquiola design department – nevertheless, he never stopped working independently and participating in numerous art and design exhibitions, becoming one of Rosenthal’s most awarded designers. In 2010 he opened his own design office based in Milan, leading to co-founding the DANTE – Goods And Bads in 2012 with his partner, German contemporary artist Aylin Langreuter. Aylin Langreuter and Christophe de la Fontaine have been appointed professors of Industrial Design at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart in November 2018.
Situation regarding COVID-19:
Together with Design Friends, we have developed a new formula: 1 DESIGNER – 1 DAY – 2 TALKS (12h30 and 18h30)
It is mandatory to register for one of the two talks in advance – and to bring the ticket (issued after registration) to the lecture (digital or print out). The number of seats is limited, and we count on your understanding as there is no possibility of a waiting list or of tickets on site. Design Friends members will get informed of ticket booking in advance by a special newsletter to members only. Obligation to wear a nose & mouth protection all the time.
