Documents

Born in Luxembourg, Michel Majerus (1967-2002) was considered as one of the most promising artists working in the medium of painting. In his brief career he produced an unusual oeuvre that oscillated between painting and installation, combining the new pictorial worlds of the digital media with references to the art-historical repertoire of Minimal Art and Pop Art. His ambitious installations were ultimately a unique demonstration of what the medium of painting could achieve.
