Within the framework of the exhibition Workers in Song, biopsychologist Robert Kumsta will give a scientific interpretation of the work of Billy Bultheel and James Richards, exploring how the installation questions human processes related to pain and pleasure.

Robert Kumsta is a professor of biopsychology at the University of Luxembourg. His research focuses on the topic of stress. What happens in our brain and body when we experience stress? How is stress in early life connected to mental health problems later in life? How does stress and trauma impact our feelings, memories, and how our genes are regulated? These are some of the questions Robert Kumsta is trying to address employing psychobiological and neuroscientific methods.
