Kaihō: Japanese Women Artists after 1945
Exhibition: 25.09.2026 – 14.02.2027
This exhibition surveys the work of thirty-nine women artists from Japan who contributed to the global artistic landscape from the post-war period to the turn of the twenty-first century. Drawing on the artists’ personal lives and creative resilience, the exhibition unfolds across five thematic chapters and brings together more than 120 works, many of which have rarely, if ever, been shown outside of Japan.
Christine Sun Kim: FOR EVER
Exhibition: 25.09.2026 – 10.01.2027
This autumn, Christine Sun Kim presents FOR EVER, a major new site-specific commission at Mudam. Created in response to the distinctive chapel-like architecture of Mudam’s Pavilion gallery, FOR EVER serves as a monument to the longevity and resilience of Deaf culture and the Deaf community. Through a series of sculptural canvases and a soundscape made in collaboration with musician Matt Karmil, Kim’s exhibition highlights the fact that Deaf people have always existed and will continue to do so with pride.
