Music has the power to evoke wonderful moods and emotions, not only in a concert hall or on stage, but also in an art exhibition at a museum.
Within the framework of the workshop "My music in the museum", school classes accompanied by a musician created a sound installation. First, the students visited an exhibition at Mudam and discussed the works of art. What effect did the artistic space have on them? What kind of music corresponds to the image or sculpture? Afterwards, the participants carried out a sound research at the Philharmonie, using musical instruments, objects, voices or digital sound creation.
The resulting sounds and music were then recorded, and all of these takes are now a sound installation at Mudam, so that they can be heard and experienced by all the visitors of the museum.
