Némo Flouret

900 Satellites by Némo Flouret (1995, Orléans) is a site-responsive choreographic piece that will be presented at Mudam as part of the Luxembourg Art Week programme. The work extends Flouret’s earlier piece 900 Something Days Spent in the XXth Century (2021). At its core is a shared choreographic toolkit from which the dancers generate varying sequences, in relation to one another, the audience and their surroundings. Staged in various settings – ranging from raw industrial sites to refined museum contexts – not a single iteration is the same.

Looking ahead to his performance at Mudam, Flouret will have a conversation with Léon Kruijswijk – the museum’s Performance Curator. They will reflect on the creation of this body of work and its system, and discuss group creation and site-specific practice, while situating performance-making in the context of today.

900 Satellites by Némo Flouret is presented at Mudam Luxembourg – Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean as part of ‘Perform Inform Transform: Participatory Per-formance in Art Museums’ (PIT), a multilateral project co-funded by the European Union. Co-produced by Bozar. Center for Fine Arts, Brussels and Triennale Milano.
