IT Officer

Type of contract: CDD full time, or 80% over 24 months
Start date: July

Mudam, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Luxembourg, seeks an IT Officer.

Your Role
Working under the supervision of the Director of IT and Audiovisual, you will be responsible for the management of the IT infrastructure of the museum. By initiating proposals, you will actively contribute to the development of informational tools with the aim of optimally responding to the evolving needs of the museum, while ensuring its security and performance. You will occasionally intervene on different projects related to artistic programming requiring IT support.

Your main responsibilities are as follows

Maintenance of the IT infrastructure and office workstations:

  • Maintenance of the museum’s on-site hardware (servers, network, stock of equipment) and the installation of new equipment)
  • Monitoring of external service providers (IT, telephones, printers…)
  • Regular surveillance of data and information, and recommendations to enhance security and optimal performance
  • Documentation and updating of IT procedures
  • Monitoring and management of computer equipment and other devices
  • Establishment and monitoring of inventories
  • Ordering equipment and licenses
  • Configuration and installation of workspaces
  • Management and monitoring of contracts regarding the central fire and burglary alarms and and video surveillance systems
  • Reporting to the administrative directors (regarding needs, stock, budget, and the overseeing of ongoing projects)

Support for projects and staff:

  • Technical support for users (helpdesk)
  • Identifying the equipment and software needs of users
  • Participating in projects related to the renewal or acquisition of professional softwares (CRM, ticketing systems…)
  • User support and training
  • Raising user awareness of cybersecurity best practices

Support for artistic programming and events:

  • Identifying the IT needs for the project or event
  • Managing and overseeing orders (purchases and rentals)
  • Overseeing the IT service providers
  • Installation and maintenance of equipment in the spaces concerned

Qualifications
We are seeking an open and enthusiastic individual who is committed to contributing to the development and dynamism of Mudam. The ideal candidate will recognise themselves in the description below and meets the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
  • Thorough knowledge of IT security standards
  • Good knowledge of MacOS, Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Versatility and proven ability to work in a team
  • Someone who is highly organised with strong attention to detail and capable of prioritising
  • Proficient in French and English (knowledge of any additional languages is a plus)
