Our Achievements

Having a collection is at the very heart of Mudam, the core of our programming and our outreach. With more than 800 works by nearly 500 international artists, our collection reflects the living history of contemporary art. Thanks to our Cercle des collectionneurs, this treasure can continue to grow and inspire. Join us in supporting this precious mission: together, let’s expand this heritage and reinforce the importance of art and culture in our society.

— Bettina Steinbrügge, directrice du Mudam Luxembourg

Since its inception, the Cercle des collectionneurs has made tangible contributions to the acquisition of significant works for Mudam’s collection.

In 2021–22
Support for the acquisition of a major work by artist Michel Majerus.

This work marked a shift in scale compared to the artist’s previous pieces. It consists of seven painted panels arranged along the curved edge of a metallic quarter-circle base.
