Mudam Summer Project
With guest artist Jasmina Al-Qaisi
In the company of artist Jasmina Al-Qaisi, we invite you to take over the museum’s outdoor spaces and imagine them as a swamp. Over the course of the workshop, we will engage in games and exercises, addressing our ideas and findings on wetlands.
What kinds of multi-lingual gossip exist in the more-than-human worlds and how could we take part? By writing with sounds and relaying waves, we will work on preserving this experience as an archive of a moment in time.
Join in to find language in the calls of birds and frogs, the bubbly whispers of humid mosses and the sonorous updates from the world of insects. Together, we will uncover new ways to use our imagination and open our minds to our immediate surroundings.

Inspired by the sounds and stories of wetlands, this live radio play is filled with the quacks and squeaks and whistles and murmurs of workshop participants and visitors to Mudam throughout the summer.
Come and experience the recorded impressions of our Institute for Multi-Species-Singing encounters, the micro-macroscopic images and data expressed during our gatherings and the resulting multi-species connections.
This sonic journey is designed to highlight the importance of wetlands in our lives and to hand the mic to people who can create new stories out of the past and imagine possible futures.

Mit der Gastkünstlerin Jasmina Al-Qaisi
Wir laden Sie gemeinsam mit der Künstlerin Jasmina Al-Qaisi ein, die Außenbereiche des Museums zu erobern und als Sumpf zu denken. Dabei machen wir Spiele und Übungen zu unseren Gedanken und Erkenntnissen zu Sümpfen.
Welche Arten von multilingualem Klatsch gibt es in der mehr-als-menschlichen Welt, und wie können wir daran teilhaben? Wir versuchen, diese Erfahrung als Archiv des Augenblicks zu bewahren, indem wir mit Tönen schreiben und Wellen aussenden.
Macht mit, um Sprache in den Stimmen von Vögeln und Fröschen und glucksendes Wispern in den Moosen zu erkennen und den neusten Klatsch aus der Insektenwelt zu hören. Wir finden gemeinsam neue Möglichkeiten, unsere Fantasie zu nutzen, um so unseren Geist für unsere unmittelbare Umgebung zu öffnen.

Inspiriert von Geräuschen und Geschichten aus den Sümpfen, von all den Quaks und Quieks, die die Workshop-Teilnehmer·innen und Mudam-Besucher·innen über den Sommer von sich gegeben haben, kommen wir für ein Live-Hörspiel zusammen.
Wir laden Sie ein, gemeinsam mit uns den aufgezeichneten Eindrücken unseres Institute for Multi-Species-Singing zu lauschen, den mikro-makroskopischen Bildern und Daten, denen wir bei unseren Treffen eine Stimme gegeben haben, und den Multi-Spezies-Verbindungen, die wir gemeinsam entdeckt haben.
Diese Klangreise soll die Bedeutung von Sumpfgebieten in unseren Leben deutlich machen, sodass wir die Mikros anschalten für neue Geschichten aus der Vergangenheit und möglichen Zukünften.

Avec l’artiste invitée Jasmina Al-Qaisi
En compagnie de l’artiste Jasmina Al-Qaisi, nous vous invitons à explorer les espaces extérieurs du musée, transformés pour l’occasion en un vaste marais imaginaire. À travers une série de jeux et d’activités, nous découvrirons ensemble le monde fascinant des écosystèmes humides.
Quels types de bavardages multilingues se déroulent dans les mondes non-humains, et comment pouvons-nous y prendre part ? Nous chercherons à préserver ces expériences sous forme d’archives vivantes, à travers l’écriture sonore et la transmission d’ondes.
Venez nous rejoindre pour décrypter les formes de langage dans les vocalises des oiseaux et des grenouilles, écouter les chuchotements crépitants des mousses humides et recevoir les dernières nouvelles des insectes. Ensemble, nous imaginerons de nouvelles manières d’ouvrir notre esprit à l’écoute de notre environnement immédiat.

Inspirés par les sons et les histoires des milieux humides, les bruits, les sifflements et autres murmures des personnes participant aux ateliers et le public du Mudam tout au long de l’été, nous vous invitons à nous rejoindre pour une pièce radiophonique interprétée en direct.
Ensemble, nous écouterons les impressions sonores enregistrées par notre Institute for Multi-Species-Singing, les images et les données micro et macroscopiques exprimées lors de nos rencontres, ainsi que les connexions multi-espèces que nous avons découvertes collectivement.
Ce voyage sonore vise à rappeler l’importance vitale des milieux humides, à entendre de nouvelles histoires à partir du passé et des visions de futurs possibles.
