Rework the Classics
Visit + Workshop
During the course of the exhibition
Tuesday-Friday
09:30–17:00

What makes an image a classic, and what is an icon in art history? Why do certain motifs, shapes, colours or patterns leave such a lasting impression that they become symbols of their time? Inspired by Simon Fujiwara's exhibition, the workshop invites us to ‘rethink the classics’ and create new icons. Participants can then produce their own reinterpretation: a personal, humorous or critical revision of a classic or modern icon.
