For Radio Luxembourg: Echoes across borders. New Collection Display, Mudam invites you to a series of conversations exploring the voices behind the artworks on display, foregrounding sculpture, materiality and the narratives embedded within the mediums.

Through these talks, a set of chosen artists will share insightful details about their processes, inspirations and their ways to engage with cultural, social and political dimensions of history. From the transformations of found objects to the reinvention of artisanal techniques or from the legacies of industrial materials to contemporary ecological concerns, these conversations offer a unique opportunity to delve into new and existing works of Mudam Collection. 

With a particular focus on each artists’ research topic, the New Collection Display Artist Talk Series connects temporalities, historical references and contemporary urgencies. The talks will highlight recent acquisitions that joined the collection thanks to the generosity of German collectors Gaby and Wilhelm Schürmann and the support of the members of the Cercle des collectionneurs du Mudam.

Für Radio Luxembourg: Echoes across borders – Neue Sammlungspräsentation lädt Sie das Mudam ein zu einer Gesprächsreihe, die die Stimmen hinter den Kunstwerken erkundet: Künstlerinnen, deren Praxis Skulptur, Materialität und die Erzählungen in ihren gewählten Medien in den Mittelpunkt stellt.

In diesen Gesprächen werden die Künstlerinnen ihre Perspektiven auf ihre Arbeitsprozesse, ihre Inspirationsquellen und die Art und Weise teilen, wie ihre Werke kulturelle, soziale und politische Geschichten reflektieren. Von der Umgestaltung gefundener Objekte über die Neuinterpretation traditioneller Handwerkstechniken bis hin zu materiellen Hinterlassenschaften aus der Industrie und aktuellen ökologischen Fragestellungen bieten diese Talks die einzigartige Gelegenheit, neue Arbeiten sowie bereits in der Mudam-Sammlung vertretene Werke zu entdecken.

Mit besonderem Fokus auf die Sichtweisen der Künstlerinnen verknüpft die „Gesprächsreihe mit den Künstler*innen der neuen Sammlungspräsentation“ Vergangenheit und Gegenwart, historische Referenzen und aktuelle Dringlichkeiten. Im Mittelpunkt stehen dabei auch kürzlich dank der großzügigen Unterstützung der deutschen Sammler Gaby und Wilhelm Schürmann sowie der Mitglieder des Cercle des collectionneurs du Mudam erworbene Werke.

Pour Radio Luxembourg: Echoes across borders. Nouvel accrochage de la collection, le Mudam vous invite à une série de conversations explorant les voix derrière les œuvres – des artistes dont les pratiques mettent en avant la sculpture, la matérialité et les récits inscrits dans leurs médiums choisis. 

À travers ces discussions, les artistes partageront leurs perspectives sur leurs processus, leurs inspirations et les manières dont leur travail engage des histoires culturelles, sociales et politiques. Des transformations d'objets trouvés à la réinvention de techniques artisanales, et des héritages des matériaux industriels aux préoccupations écologiques contemporaines, ces conversations offrent une occasion unique d'explorer de nouvelles œuvres et des œuvres existantes de la collection Mudam. 

Avec un accent particulier sur les perspectives des artistes, la série de conférences « Conversations avec les artistes sur la présentation de la nouvelle collection » (New Collection Display Artist Talk) tisse des liens entre le passé et le présent, les références historiques et les urgences contemporaines. Les conférences mettront en lumière des œuvres récemment intégrées à la collection grâce à la générosité des collectionneurs allemands Gaby et Wilhelm Schürmann, avec le soutien des membres du Cercle des collectionneurs du Mudam.
