Lily Greenham

Lily Greenham’s (1924, Vienna – 2001, London) diverse and experimental oeuvre includes sound poetry, lingual music, objects and collages inspired by op art and kinetic art. After participating in seminars on computer language during 1969 and 1970, she acquired a personal computer in 1982, using it to produce a body of work. Greenham employed a variety of techniques, from programming algorithms to collaging and combining images on photocopiers. The Homecomputer Graphics (1982) presented here are accompanied by preparatory material – occupying one vitrine.
