Viola, Percussion & Clarinet
On the occasion of the opening of two new exhibitions, Charlotte Posenenske - Work in Progress and Leonor Antunes - vides, intervalles et jonctions Mudam will present a unique opportunity to experience an authentic blend between music and art.
Live music performed by three young students from various conservatories in Luxembourg will accompany the different exhibitions on view within the museum. The upcoming musical talents Hannah Elgas on viola, Eva Victoria Schockmel on percussion and Sarah Czech on clarinet will perform one piece each, chosen carefully for this occasion and in response to the artworks of Charlotte Posenenske (b.1930, Wiesbaden; d. 1985, Frankfurt) and Leonor Antunes (b. 1972, Lisbon).
The warm introspective sound of the viola, the singing yet fragile sound of the clarinet and the distinctive rhythmical sound of the percussion meet minimalism, fragmentation and hybrid semi-mechanic forms in an intimate and unique atmosphere.
In collaboration with: Conservatoire de Luxembourg, Conservatoire d’Esch-sur-Alzette
Musical director: Niels Engel
