Snowball (Esquisse finale). Performance

When

Within the framework of

Luxembourg Art Week 2019

09 + 10.11.2019 | 11h00+14h00

Snowball offers a unique sensory experience at the centre of the work of art Rheology created by artist Baptiste Debombourg. This immersive device, incorporating scientific, sound or musical vicissitudes, takes the form of a plastic installation in which the cellist Julie Läderach evolves and interacts.

The scientific research at the heart of Snowball focuses on the interaction of sound and matter. It aims to invent a technological device at the intersection of the work of the visual artist, the composer and the cellist, which will allow a dialogue between music and the plastic work.

Like a snowball bursting on the ground and crossing different states, this performance is an archipelago, where the organic and the mineral enter into permanent dialogue.

With: Julie Läderach (cellist), Stéphane Ghislain Roussel (director and curatorship), Baptiste Debombourg (visual artist), Sébastien Roux (composer), Aline Ribière (visual artist), Samuel Rodriguez (researcher), Stéphane Bottard (light), Loïc Lachaize (sound)
