‘We are changing, looking for relief and purpose. Metamorphosis, they say. Maybe we became cockroaches? A whole, large group of Gregor Samsas living with bats over our heads. Or maybe we are eight billions tightrope walkers? For sure, we are dancers, singers, talkers and holobionts. We are super-organisms related one to another. Living with Earth. We are just forgetful. Never mind.’

Karolina Markiewicz (b. 1976, Luxembourg) and Pascal Piron (b. 1982, Luxembourg) have been working together since 2013 and have held solo exhibitions at the Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’Art Contemporain, Luxembourg (2021/2016), the Centre National de l’Audiovisuel, Dudelange (2019), the VT Artsalon and The Cube Project Space, Taipei (2018), and at the Centre d’Art Dominque Lang, Dudelange (2017). They have participated in the 56th Venice Biennale (official representatives of Liechtenstein) and in numerous international film festivals.
