In conjunction with Luxembourg Art Week, Mudam is hosting a programme of performances by artists taking part in the Freigeister exhibition, some of whom will have participating guests.

Ultrasocial Pop is Filip Markiewicz’s latest experimental audio-visual project. It creates a performative dialogue between his visual and filmic work and his musical compositions. Each performance comments on social events and through this Filip Markiewicz generates a videographic moving tableau that explores the link between pop culture and populism.

Ultrasocial Pop is supported by the Bourse Bert-Theis.

Filip Markiewicz (b. 1980, Esch-sur-Alzette) has held solo exhibitions at C+N Canepaneri, Milan (2020), MNAC – Museum of Contemporary Art, Bucharest (2020), the Kunsthalle, Osnabrück (2019), CCA – Derry/Londonderry (2019), Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’Art Contemporain (2018), La Panacée, Montpellier (2018), and Theater Basel (2017).
