ASK ME

During Museum Night, our art mediators await you in the galleries to answers your questions and share insights to our exhibitions, artists and programmes.

Drop in! Videowave with Mnemozine
19:00 – 00:00
Dive back in time with retro visuals and vintage technology! Join this workshop to manipulate video signals from the 1980s and 1990s, using devices like VHS recorders, CCTV cameras and game consoles, to create nostalgic, glitchy visuals. The workshop is run by Mnemozine, a Luxembourgish interdisciplinary research and art collective. It hosts an online publishing platform and creates audiovisual installations and performances, merging obsolete with new media. Its founders are Mathieu Buchler, a writer, visual artist and teacher, and Lynn Klemmer, a multimedia artist.

Coup de cœur
21:00 + 00:00
This year, our ‘coup de cœur’ programme invites seven curators and museum professionals to present a guided tour to their favorite artwork in one of the seven museums of Luxembourg. Mudam welcomes Simone Feis, curator at the Dräi Eechelen Museum located in the park just next to Mudam. Feis studied history at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Since 2007, she has been working at the Centre de documentation sur la forteresse de Luxembourg, which has been given the task of designing and setting up the Dräi Eechelen Museum in the historic Fort Thüngen.

Performance
thonk piece: 80% twins
22:00 – 23:00
thonk piece: 80% twins is a performance by Toronto-based drag queens Mary Messhausen and proddy produzentin to celebrate the opening of our newest exhibition by Cosima von Bonin, Songs for Gay Dogs. Known for their intoxicating singing voices which are front, center and basement of their live performances, the performance series thonk piece is a podcast served as a visual audiobook. What started in 2020 as an online stream has recently been pushed back into real reality! Mary Messhausen and proddy produzentin are Toronto-based drag queens. For many years, Messhausen and proddy produzentin have been appearing and performing at Cosima von Bonin’s exhibition openings, adding a little ‘je ne sais quoi’ to these events.

Chiche Lounge
23:00 – 01:00
From 23:00 until the end of Museum Night, you can relax at the Mudam Café, where a DJ-set and cocktails by Bac will make for a great lounge night.
