On the occasion of the presentation of Bright Ecologies – Experiences, Forms, Materials, a monograph documenting over twenty years of artistic research, artists Andrea Caretto and Rafaella Spagna will share some of the site exploration practices that are central to their approach.

During a walk through the area surrounding the Mudam museum, participants will be invited to listen and experiment with different ways of opening up, and paying attention, to things of the world. The materials collected during this neighbourhood exploration will be collectively installed in the space where the book presentation will take place, interacting with the space and the public in attendance.

Biographies:

Andrea Caretto and Rafaella Spagna have been working together since 2002. Their artistic practice is marked by a philosophical, poetic and strongly political imprint that expresses itself in the form of activism and contemplation on issues that are currently at the heart of international theoretical and artistic debate and against a backdrop of a rise in post-humanist and ecocentric philosophies, new materialisms and a growing alarm about climate change.
