La France is a French film directed by Serge Bozon, released in 2007. It stars Sylvie Testud and Pascal Greggory. The film won the Prix Jean Vigo in 2007.
During the First World War, Camille, a young woman whose husband is fighting at the front, receives a brief letter from him breaking up with her. Distraught, she decides to go and join him, but constrained by the regulations of the time which forbid women to travel alone to the front, she has no other option than to disguise herself as a man and set off on foot.
