In resonance with the Freigeister exhibition and the discussions that led to its creation, Mudam invited twenty-seven people from different backgrounds to talk about twenty-six words, thus creating a video alphabet from A for ailleurs [elsewhere] to Z for zesummen [together]. Taken together, these short filmed contributions paint a subjective and fragmentary portrait of Luxembourgish society and cast an eye over some of the issues affecting the world today.
During the exhibition, the twenty-six capsule videos that make up this alphabet will be shown in the Mudam Studio. They also provide the springboard for a participative and ongoing installation in which visitors are invited to share their thoughts and perceptions via words and drawings, and thus further expand the Freigeister Alphabet.
