One of the most promising artists on the Chinese contemporary art scene, Cheng Ran (b. 1981, Inner Mongolia, China) investigates the cultural landscape of West and East in his videos and films, comparing their literary, poetic, cinematographic and visual worlds. The artist proposes a new narrative that brings together and compares myth and modernity, past and present, and personal and collective events.
