Banks for the Future
Visit + Workshop
On demand from 18.05 to 15.07.2026
Monday–Friday | 09:30–17:00

What could be the meaning of a bank for future generations? For this activity, students are invited to take part in The Bank, a project by artist collective SUPERFLEX. Known for their socially engaged practice, SUPERFLEX creates projects that explore how we organise and share resources, inviting the public to imagine alternative ways of living together.

The session begins with a guided exploration of Mudam’s architecture, encouraging students to observe the building’s forms, spaces and materials. Inspired by this visit, they will then use clay to create their own “banks”, working from modular shapes that reinterpret and deconstruct the museum’s architecture. These individual creations are brought together into a collective installation, forming a growing “city of banks” that extends Mudam beyond its walls and into the park.

Through this activity, students participate in creating a collective installation that reshapes Mudam’s surroundings and contributes to a future artwork by SUPERFLEX.

SUPERFLEX. The Bank is organised with the support of the PwC Foundation Luxembourg, under the aegis of the Fondation de Luxembourg.
