Tobias Putrih
At the Mudam’s invitation, Tobias Putrih (b. 1972, Kranj, Slovenia) conceived Mudam’s Studio Design originally for the educational department of the Mudam. Intended as a transformable environment, it served as a framework for experimental museum education. Also, the stimulating space for creativity, documentation and exhibition always allowed for improvised usage. The idea of its constant transformation is based on the modular principle of its geometric elements, from which tables, chairs and shelves can be formed and put together with great freedom, occupying the space like a sculpture. In this way, Tobias Putrih breaks the conventions on which the relationships between users and their functional environment are commonly based.
