Mudam Luxembourg - Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean is looking for a Collection Manager to join its collection team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Curator, Head of the Collection, the post holder will work in close collaboration with the Collection registrar and the other departments of the museum, as well as with various partners: artists, galleries, collectors, restorers, external curators and institutional partners. The Collection manager plays a key role in the development and visibility of the collection, as well as conducting research on the collection and contributing to its conservation.

Opened in 2006 in a purpose-built building designed by the renowned Sino-American architect Ieoh Ming Pei, Mudam is located in the Park Draï Eechelen overlooking the historic city of Luxembourg. Mudam’s mission is to promote understanding and appreciation of the most relevant art of our times for the largest possible public through its collection, temporary exhibitions, programmes, and partnerships.

Mudam is looking for a person with extensive knowledge in the field of contemporary art and collection management. They will be experienced in researching and developing a collection and in conceiving and organising displays as well as proven knowledge of conservation issues. The candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be a team player ready to contribute to the missions and activities of Mudam.

Ability to work in French and English is essential.
